An upper level trough will dominate the eastern United States through this weekend, allowing the unsettled weather to continue until a cold front crosses the state Sunday night and Monday.
There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon, starting today until Monday when the cold front clears the area and brings in drier air for mid week. It will not be a washout by any means, but there will be a chance for rain and storms each day.
Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s each day.
Also, the Department of the Environment has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for the metro area today. People who are sensitive to air pollution should limit their time outdoors this afternoon.
