The east coast remains between a high pressure off the coast and a low pressure to the west, allowing moisture to continue to flow northward. We will remain between the systems until the end of the week, when a cold front will move through. A low pressure system may develop along this front as it pushes through the state, bringing the possibility of heavy rain on Friday and Friday night.
Unfortunately, the low pressure to the west will remain in place into the weekend and possibly into next week. This means the threat of showers will persist through the weekend.
Highs will be in the mid 70s through the weekend.
