More showers and storms will be possible this afternoon as a cold front crosses the state. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s today and tomorrow, before the cooler air and an area of low pressure moves into the region. This will bring another chance of showers Friday night and Saturday. Lows Friday night and Saturday morning will dip into the 30s in the highlands and will be around 50 along the I-95 corridor. Saturday’s highs will be in the 50s (upper 40s in the mountains) with scattered showers likely as the low pressure strengthens off the coast and pulls away.
Following that system, drier air will flow in on strong northwesterly winds Sunday. Highs on Sunday will again be in the mid 50s (40s in the highlands) before temperatures begin to warm again as we head into next week.
