The low that has been affecting the region with rain and cool temperatures has finally begun to move out and high pressure has started to take control of the weather. The high will continue to build in today, leading to mostly sunny conditions and warmer temperatures right through the weekend.
Today will start out cloudy but sunshine should return this afternoon as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 60s. Winds will begin to increase this afternoon as the high pressure builds. Winds will be strong again tomorrow, gusting to 25mph. High temperatures will continue to rise and will top out near 80 this weekend while overnight lows will dip into the 40s to low 50s each night, finally giving us the typical fall-like temperatures we are used to here in the Mid-Atlantic.
