Yesterday’s showers and related cold front have cleared the area, ushering in cooler air and dry conditions for the weekend. Today’s high temperature (61.4 here at Marylandwx) was set just after midnight and temperatures have tumbled into the 40s on breezy northwesterly winds. We should rebound a bit, to near 50 in the cities this afternoon and drop into the mid 30s tonight.
Highs this weekend will be in the mid 40s with overnight lows around 30.
Temperatures rebound to the mid 50s on Monday ahead of the next storm system that looks to bring rain to the area on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Monday marks the 2 year anniversary of the first big snow of the 2009-2010 season, which dumped 19 inches here in Millersville. Unfortunately for snow lovers, there are still no signs of Arctic air or major snow threats through the end of the month.
