A low pressure system currently over Arkansas and Tennessee will continue its trek to the northeast. In doing so, it will bring a warm front through the area tonight, causing temperatures to rise into the 50s. The warmth will be short lived, as the system will then drag a cold front through tomorrow morning. Rain associated with the front is expected tonight and tomorrow morning. Total rainfall of up to a half inch is expected statewide.
After the front moves through, temperatures will begin to fall back into the 40s on gusty northwest winds. Wind gusts near 35mph will be possible tomorrow afternoon.
Temperatures rebound to the low 50s on Saturday before a clipper system moves through, bringing cooler air and a slight chance of showers or flurries on Sunday.
Next week looks warm, with another chance of rain towards midweek.
