Rounds of showers with heavy downpours and gusty winds continue to move through the area this morning ahead of a cold front. A warm front is draped across the state, with temperatures in the mid 50s to low 60s south of the front, and mid to upper 40s north of it.
The cold front is expected to cross the state later this morning, bringing an end to the rain by this afternoon. Temperatures will also begin to tumble behind the front as northwest winds increase and become gusty.
Skies will clear tonight and temperatures will fall into the mid 30s. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, ahead of the first of a series of clipper systems that will bring in seasonably colder air for Sunday and Monday. There is also a chance of snow showers on Sunday night as one of the clippers moves through.
Temperatures rebound back into the upper 40s to low 50s before another frontal system affects the area midweek.
