We are entering a stretch of quiet and calm weather over the couple of days. Aside from showers associated with a cold front Thursday night and Friday morning, the calm stretch will continue through the weekend.
With a sprawling area of high pressure overhead, today will be mostly sunny with highs around 50. The high will slide off the coast tomorrow, allowing southerly flow to bring in warmer temperatures. Sunshine continues tomorrow and Thursday while high temperatures climb into the 60s both days, possibly near 70 on Thursday.
A cold front will move through Thursday night into Friday morning bringing a round of showers and slightly cooler air but more sunshine for the weekend.
Highs Saturday will be in the mid 50s before warming up to near 60 again on Sunday.
After a tranquil weather week this week, next week looks to be more active with a cold front and more rain possible on Monday followed by another system on Wednesday and Thursday.
