Low pressure will continue to move away from the area today, but will be close enough to bring a slight chance of a shower to the lower Eastern Shore and decreasing cloudiness to the rest of the state. Highs today will be in the upper 70s.
High pressure continues to build tomorrow, increasing the sunshine but keeping temperatures in the upper 70s with low humidity. This nice weather will continue through the weekend and into next week.
Temperatures and humidity will begin to rise Monday and Tuesday as the high pressure center pushes off shore and southerly flow returns. Highs Monday will push into the mid 80s, near 90 on Tuesday and likely into the 90s on Wednesday as the high pressure remains parked over the western Atlantic ocean.
Rain chances will also be at a minimum during this period. There may be a chance of a pop up shower or thunderstorm Tuesday and Wednesday as the heat and humidity build. Otherwise, a hot and dry week looks to be on tap.
