High pressure will continue to control our weather today before the stationary front to our south begins moving north as a warm front tomorrow.
Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the 70s in the mountains to around 90 in the metro areas.
The warm front will begin moving northward tonight and will cross the area late tomorrow bringing more clouds, a chance of thunderstorms and increased humidity. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 80s to near 90 under mostly cloudy skies. The best chance for thunderstorms will be tomorrow evening.
The heat and humidity continue to build as we move into the weekend. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 90s with a chance of thunderstorms both days.
It appears that we will enter another stretch of hot and humid weather next week. The heat will be accompanied by a chance of thunderstorms each day as well. High temperatures in the mid 90s can be expected through the week.
