Another mini heat wave is coming to the region for the first half of this week. Hazy, hot and humid conditions are expected through Wednesday.
Today will be partly sunny with a slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm this afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 90s.
Expect more sunshine on Tuesday and as a result, warmer temperatures. Highs will be in the upper 90s to near 100.
A cold front will approach on Wednesday, increasing thunderstorm chances during the afternoon and evening as temperatures again push into the mid to upper 90s. Some of the storms may be strong to severe.
The front pushes through late Wednesday, bringing in cooler air for Thursday. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will be possible, but temperatures will be about 10 degrees cooler, with highs topping out in the upper 80s.
At this time, Friday and into the weekend looks to be pleasant, with minimal rain chances and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
