A nearly stationary boundary has pressed into the state today, separating drier air to the north from muggy air to the south. The boundary is expected to remain near the area today, also providing ample cloud cover. Highs today will be in the low 90s.
Southwest flow will begin to develop through the day today and last through the week. This will allow moisture levels to increase and provide a chance of thunderstorms tomorrow and Thursday afternoon and evenings. Highs will be around 90 both days.
An area of low pressure and cold front will approach by the end of the work week, increasing shower and thunderstorm chances Friday and Saturday. Highs on Friday will be in the upper 80s; highs Saturday will be in the mid 80s.
Expect clearing conditions on Sunday with highs in the mid 80s.
High pressure remains in control as we head into the new work week.
