The area of low pressure that brought unsettled weather and flooding rainfall to the area will move off to the east today. More showers and thunderstorms will be possible as it moves off and a cold front approaches this evening. Highs today will be in the low to mid 80s.
The front will move through tomorrow morning clearing out any residual showers or storms. Highs will push into the mid to upper 80s.
Behind the front, drier air will move in for the rest of the work week. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s Wednesday through Friday.
The weather for this coming weekend will mostly be dependent on what Tropical Storm Isaac does. Current forecast track has the storm strengthening to a hurricane and making landfall along the Louisiana coast. The remnants of the storm could bring rainfall to our area over the weekend.
