High pressure will remain in control of the weather for much of this week, sliding off the coast and allowing temperatures to warm. A cold front will then bring in much colder air for next week while a tropical system develops in the Caribbean.
Ample sunshine is on tap for today. Highs will be around 70 degrees.
Tomorrow will feature a bit more cloud cover but despite the clouds, highs will push well into the 70s, possibly approaching 80 degrees.
More of the same is expected Wednesday and Thursday. Partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
The nice weather will continue Friday and into the weekend before a cold front ushers in colder air for the latter half of the weekend and into next week.
The other area of interest as we move towards the weekend is an area of low pressure in the Caribbean Sea. This low is expected to strengthen and become Tropical Storm Sandy as it moves northward.
Current computer forecasts move Sandy northward, parallel to the east coast but well off the coast.
Nonetheless, it will have to be monitored for possible impacts to our area as it develops.
