A stationary front has moved north of the area as a warm front. This has put the state back into warm and humid southerly flow.
The warm and humid air will support scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms today. Highs will top out in the low 80s.
The warm up continues tomorrow, with highs pushing into the mid 80s under partly sunny skies.
Thunderstorm chances return Wednesday afternoon with highs again in the mid 80s.
A cold front will approach on Thursday bringing another round of showers and thunderstorms. The front will clear the area late Thursday or Friday, bringing an end to the rain chances, as well as the warm humid conditions. Highs on Thursday will be in the low 80s while mid 70s are expected on Friday.
Cooler and drier conditions will move into the area for the weekend.
