High pressure builds into the region today providing ample sunshine but continued cold temperatures. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 30s.
The high pushes off the coast tomorrow allowing southerly flow to develop. This will usher in warmer air up the eastern seaboard. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 40s tomorrow.
Temperatures will continue to warm Friday as a cold front stalls out to our northwest. Highs on Friday will push into the mid 50s under partly sunny skies.
It now appears that the front will remain to our northwest Saturday, keeping our area dry and warm. Highs will likely reach the low to mid 60s with increasing clouds through the day.
An area of low pressure will form along the front on Sunday and finally help push it into and through our area but not before our temps reach to near record highs. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are likely Sunday afternoon into Sunday night with highs around 70.
The front will push through Sunday night or Monday morning bringing an end to the rainfall and setting up a dry stretch for most of next week. Temperatures look to fall back into the 50s on Monday and then into the 40s for highs on Tuesday.
