High pressure off the southeast coast will allow warmer air to continue to move into the region today and this weekend. Highs today will be in the mid 40s under partly sunny skies.
Tomorrow will be a few degrees warmer, with highs in the mid to upper 40s under partly sunny skies.
A cold front will move into the area Sunday into Sunday night. There is a slight chance of showers during the afternoon and evening hours as it moves through. Highs on Sunday will be around 50.
As the front moves south of the state, an area of low pressure is expected to form along it and move back towards the northeast. Right now, the storm looks to move by to our south, keeping most of the precipitation south of the state. Any precip that makes it into the area Sunday night and Monday will be snow. There is disagreement between the models on the exact track of the low but right now, light snow appears likely with the possibility for higher amounts of the low tracks further north. Highs on Monday will be in the mid 30s.
Another, stronger storm will likely affect the area Tuesday night into Wednesday. This storm looks to pass to our west, keeping us in the warm sector. Currently it looks like it will be mostly rain, possibly starting as a wintry mix Tuesday night. Highs on Tuesday will be in the upper 30s, warming to the mid 40s on Wednesday.
The active pattern will continue as yet another storm may affect the area towards the end of next week.
