As cold high pressure continues to build in, expect mostly sunny skies today. It will be cold and windy with highs in the mid 30s.
Lows tonight will fall into the low to mid teens.
It will continue to be sunny tomorrow but very cold, with highs only reaching the mid 20s.
A weak disturbance may bring light precipitation to the area Saturday. There is a slight chance that this could start as sleet or freezing rain before changing to plain rain, if it occurs at all. Highs on Saturday will be in the upper 30s to near 40.
A complex area of low pressure is expected to move towards the area Sunday. A wintry mix is likely, starting Sunday evening and lasting through the night. The mix may change to snow by Monday morning, ending late Monday night.
The details of this system will need to be worked out over the next day or so, but prepare for a possible moderate to major impact to the area Sunday night and Monday.
