An area of low pressure will move to our south today and redevelop along the Carolina coast this weekend. As a result showers will affect the area late tonight and tomorrow. In the mountains, the rain will mix with and change to snow as temperatures cool.
Today will feature a mix of clouds and sun, with highs in the upper 50s.
Showers will begin to develop late tonight or early tomorrow morning and increase in coverage tomorrow. It will be cooler and winds will increase through the day. Highs will be around 50.
As the coastal storm continues to develop and move away from the area, winds will continue to increase through the day Sunday. Clouds will decrease and sunshine will return but winds will gust to around 35mph and temperatures will only be in the upper 40s to near 50.
Sunday night will be the coldest night of the season thus far. Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing for all areas except DC and Baltimore cities and the areas along the bay.
Monday will be a nicer day, with continued sunshine, warmer temperatures and less wind. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.
We will remain dry into midweek, with temperatures warming into the mid 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
A cold front may bring more showers late Wednesday into Thursday.
