As an upper level low moves into the region tonight, surface low pressure will develop off of the Carolina coast. This will result in scattered shower development over the area this afternoon and evening. As temperatures fall tonight, the rain may mix with or change to snow, especially north and west of I-95. No accumulation is expected, except near the Pennsylvania border where a dusting may coat grassy surfaces.
Winds will become gusty tonight as the low moves through. Northwest winds will continue to gust tomorrow as cold Canadian high pressure moves in. It will be mostly sunny but with highs in the low 40s but it will feel much colder due to the wind.
Lows Friday night will fall into the mid 20s.
Saturday will be sunny but cold, with highs in the low 40s and overnight lows again in the mid 20s.
Sunday will see an increase in clouds and slightly warmer highs ahead of the next storm system. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.
The next system will spread precipitation into the area Sunday night through Monday. It may start as snow or a rain/snow mix, turning to rain on Monday. Highs on Monday will climb into the mid to upper 40s.
Behind that system, expect another shot of cold air as high pressure moves back in. Highs will be in the low 40s on Tuesday.
