A storm system moving through the region today is spreading rainfall through the area through this evening. Winds will increase today as well, as Arctic air begins to flow in behind the system. Highs today will reach the low 50s.
Colder air will filter into the region this evening and tonight.
Gusty northwest winds will continue the cold surge tomorrow, as highs struggle to reach the freezing mark under sunny skies.
Tomorrow night will be the coldest night of the season thus far, with lows in the upper teens to low 20s.
Wednesday will be a few degrees warmer than tomorrow, with highs in the mid 30s.
A reinforcing cold front will move into the region Wednesday night, and push through on Thursday. This front will be moisture-starved, so no precipitation is expected. It will be breezy on Thursday with highs in the mid 40s.
It will remain cold to close out the week and as we head into the weekend. Highs on Friday will be around 40 with low to mid 40s expected on Saturday.
At this time, it appears a warm up is on tap starting Sunday and headed into next week.
