A cold front will push into and through the area this afternoon and evening, bringing a chance of showers as it does. Highs today will reach the low to mid 60s before the front crosses.
The front will stall out to over the area tonight through tomorrow night. As colder air moves in from the north at the surface, areas of sleet or freezing rain may develop, mainly west of I-95 tomorrow morning. Any mix along and east of I-95 should change to rain by mid morning or early afternoon.
The mix will likely continue through the afternoon west of I-95 with some sleet and ice accumulation possible. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 30s east of I-95 while likely staying below freezing to the north and west.
Another cold front will approach on Wednesday and southerly flow ahead of it should turn any remaining frozen precipitation over to plain rain during the morning hours. Scattered showers will be possible through the day, with highs reaching the low to mid 50s.
Thursday looks dry, with highs in the upper 40s while another system looks to bring rain on Friday.
