High pressure will build in to our north today while an area of low pressure develops off of the Carolina coastline. Moisture from that system will get pulled northward this weekend.
TODAY: High pressure will build in to our north today. Easterly flow around that high will keep a fair amount of clouds over the area today. This flow may cause a few isolated showers or storms to pop up over the higher terrain but areas east of the mountains should remain dry. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.
FRIDAY: It will start off mostly sunny, but clouds will increase during the day as moisture from the low to our south begins to flow into the area. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s.
SATURDAY: It will be mostly sunny, warm and humid as more moisture is pulled northward. As a result, an afternoon shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Highs will be in the low 80s.
SUNDAY: Continued mostly sunny, warm and humid with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the low to mid 80s.
MONDAY: The warming trend continues, with highs in the mid 80s. The low to our south will move towards the area, making an afternoon shower or thunderstorm more likely under otherwise mostly sunny skies.
OUTLOOK: A cold front will move through on Tuesday with a better chance of showers and thunderstorms. High pressure will build back in behind the front and persist through the remainder of the work week.
