High pressure remains parked off of the coast and continues to push warm and humid air into the region. A cold front will approach on Sunday and stall out just to our south on Monday.
TODAY: Expect more of the same, warm and humid with a slight chance of afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, warm and humid with isolated afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms possible. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
SUNDAY: A cold front approaches from the west, increasing rain chances. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely throughout the day and into the night. With a very moist airmass in place, these showers and storms will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the low 80s.
MONDAY: The front will remain near the area, continuing rain chances through the day and into the night. It will be noticeably cooler, with highs only in the upper 60s to near 70°.
TUESDAY: The front will continue to sag southward as Canadian high pressure builds in. There is a slight chance of showers early in the day before clearing out. Highs will be in the upper 60s.
OUTLOOK: Cool high pressure will remain in control for the latter half of the week. Expect generally mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s to near 80° by Thursday.
