More Showers and Storms Today; Remnants of Bill to bring Rain this Weekend

A stationary front to our south will move back northward today as a warm front. A cold front will move in from the north tomorrow, stalling out over the area through the weekend. Rains associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill will push through Saturday night into Sunday.

TODAY: Isolated showers this morning will continue to dissipate leading to generally cloudy skies by this afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop during the afternoon hours, lasting into tonight. Some of the storms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds being the primary threat. It will be warm and humid, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

FRIDAY: The day may start out with a few left over showers and thunderstorms during the early morning hours. Behind those showers, expect a mix of clouds and sun, with just a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s.

SATURDAY: Clouds and rain chances will increase through the day as the remnants of Bill move toward the area. Expect showers and thunderstorms to become numerous during the afternoon and evening. Localized heavy rainfall is possible, especially Saturday night. Highs will be in the low 80s.

SUNDAY: The remnants will continue to push through, leading to a fairly wet day. Showers and thunderstorms are likely through most of the day, tapering off during the evening hours. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

OUTLOOK: Another system will move in for the first part of the week, bringing more showers and thunderstorms late Monday into Tuesday. Conditions remain unsettled through midweek with high pressure building back in for the end of the week. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to around 90° through the period.
