High pressure will remain to our north today while a disturbance moves through from the west. High pressure will remain in place for the rest of the week.
TODAY: High pressure to our northeast will result in easterly flow off of the Atlantic. This will combine with a disturbance moving through to produce clouds and drizzle today with pockets of steadier rainfall around the state this afternoon. It will be cool, with highs in the upper 60s to near 70°.
TUESDAY: Areas of light rain will continue into the morning hours before the disturbance pulls away. We will remain generally cloudy, with highs in the mid 70s.
WEDNESDAY: Fall begins at 4:21 am. High pressure will take back control, resulting in mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 70s.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s to near 80°.
FRIDAY: Clouds will increase during the day as another system moves towards the area. Right now, it appears an area of low pressure could spread rainfall into the area late Friday into Saturday. Highs will be in the mid 70s.
WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Depending on the track of the low, Saturday may be rainy before high pressure builds back in on Sunday. Highs will be in the low 70s.
