Summary: High pressure is building into the region today and will persist through the weekend. A coastal low pressure may bring rain late Monday or Tuesday.
Following last night’s frontal passage, high pressure is building into the region today. As a result, expect mostly sunny skies, except in the mountains where clouds and scattered snow showers are possible. It will be breezy, with northwest winds gusting to around 30 mph at times.
Highs will range from the upper 30s in far western Maryland, to around 50 in southern Maryland.
Sunshine will persist through the weekend with highs each day ranging from the mid to upper 40s in the mountains to the low 50s in southern Maryland. Overnight lows will range from the upper 20s to mid 30s.
Clouds will begin to increase on Monday as an area of low pressure forms along the Carolina coast. This low may spread rainfall into our area by late Monday and Tuesday.
