Summary: A cold front will move into the area later today and pass through late tomorrow. High pressure will build in on Wednesday.
A cold front over the midwest will slowly push eastward today and into our area by this evening. As the front moves closer and high pressure departs, warm, humid air will be in place to support scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Showers will continue into the overnight and tomorrow morning.
More thunderstorms are likely tomorrow afternoon, especially along and east of I-95. Some of the storms could produce very heavy rainfall and strong, gusty winds.
The front will slowly cross tomorrow evening, ending the rain threat from west to east.
High pressure will return on Wednesday and persist through Thursday. Another cold front will move into the area on Friday, bringing a chance of storms.
