A hot and humid airmass remains in place today as a cold front approaches from the west. As the front moves closer, showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could become strong to severe and produce damaging winds. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s.
The front will cross tomorrow with showers and storms once again possible. Highs will again be in the low to mid 90s.
High pressure builds in on Sunday, ending the storm threat and ushering in slightly cooler air. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Mostly sunny skies are expected again on Monday with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Temperatures will warm again as the high pressure center slides off the coast causing southerly flow to strengthen. Highs will approach 90 on Tuesday and will be back into the 90s Wednesday and Thursday.
