An area of low pressure will drop southward from Canada into the Ohio Valley tomorrow and move to our southwest. This system will pull warm moist air into our region, setting the stage for heavy rainfall tomorrow through Friday.
Showers will develop during the day tomorrow, becoming widespread and heavy at times tomorrow evening, with thunderstorms also possible. Heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue Thursday and into Thursday night. Showers will continue through most of the day on Friday before clearing out by Friday night.
By Saturday morning a general 2-3″ of rain is expected, with locally heavier amounts in locations that see repeated storms or heavier showers. While the exact timing and location of the heaviest rainfall is not known at this time, flash flooding will be possible in areas that see repeated rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
