An arctic front is pushing through today, bringing in much colder air. The front will settle to our south tonight and a weak area of low pressure will travel along it, spreading light snow into the state.
With several days of warm weather prior, light precipitation, and marginal temperatures as it falls, this will not be a significant snow. Nonetheless, some accumulation is likely, leading to some minor impacts late tonight and tomorrow morning. As a result, the NWS has issued Winter Weather Advisories for parts of the state:
Timing wise, expect snow, or a rain/snow mix to start late tonight, winding down during the morning to early afternoon hours tomorrow.
Here is the GFS from 10pm tonight through 10pm tomorrow:
When all is said and done, expect a general dusting to up to 3″ in spots. But amounts of 1-2″ are most likely across most areas:
Confidence is fairly high that this will be a minor event, with minimal widespread impacts, but exercise caution if traveling during the morning hours tomorrow as slick spots are likely.
