Scattered Showers Through the Weekend

Warmer air moving in aloft combined with a light easterly flow at the surface has developed showers over most of the state today. Scattered showers are expected to continue through the day. Highs will be around 50 degrees.

Rain chances continue tonight and into tomorrow morning before moving northward and out of the area. Clouds will slowly decrease tomorrow afternoon as temperatures push into the low 60s.

During the overnight Saturday, a backdoor cold front will push into the region bringing another round of clouds and showers for Sunday. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s.

Sunny Today; Slight Chance of Rain Tomorrow

High pressure is overhead this morning and will slide off the coast tonight. This will provide a sunny but cold day today. Highs will top out in the mid 40s.

Clouds will increase tonight and tomorrow as a weak frontal boundary sets up in our area. Warmer air flowing northward may cause light showers to break out later tomorrow. Highs will be around 50 degrees under cloudy skies.

The front should push northward Saturday as southerly flow strengthens. This will allow for more sunshine and temperatures in the low 60s.

Decreasing Clouds, Cooler Today

The cold front has passed through the area this morning and winds have shifted to the northwest. These winds will increase this afternoon, gusting to over 25mph at times.

Skies will gradually clear through the day as drier air moves in. Highs today will top out in the mid to upper 50s.

Lows tonight will drop to around 30 degrees under clear skies as high pressure builds in.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny and cold, with highs in the low to mid 40s.

Warm Today; Cold Front Passes Tonight

As high pressure is pushed off the coast, and a cold front approaches from the west, southerly flow will push temperatures to near 70 degrees this afternoon under decreasing clouds.

The cold front will cross tonight with very little moisture. There is a very slight chance of a shower as it crosses late tonight into tomorrow morning.

Otherwise, expect clouds and the humidity to decrease through the day tomorrow as northwest winds increase. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Mild Start to the Week; Cold Front Passes Tomorrow Night

The much anticipated warm weather will arrive today as high pressure off the coast sets up a southerly flow. Highs today will push into the mid to upper 60s.

Tonight, temperatures will only fall into the mid to upper 40s in most areas.

We will squeak out another very mild day tomorrow, as highs continue in the mid to upper 60s under partly sunny skies.

The cold front will push into the region Tuesday night, bringing with it a slight chance of showers through Wednesday morning. Lows tomorrow night will be in the upper 40s to around 50 and highs on Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Partly Sunny Today; Unseasonably Warm Weather Ahead

High pressure will continue to move off the coast today. As it does, a backdoor cold front will push into the area tonight allowing patchy fog to develop tonight into tomorrow morning.

Highs today will be in the mid 50s.

With the front still across the area, expect another partly sunny day tomorrow after the morning fog burns off. Highs again will be in the mid 50s with easterly wind.

The front will push northward on Sunday as southerly flow takes hold. This will allow temperatures to warm into the upper 50s to around 60.

Mostly Sunny with a Warming Trend

High pressure has moved overhead today and will continue to move eastward. This will bring sunshine and warmer temperatures into the weekend.

Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s.

Mostly sunny skies again tomorrow as highs push into the low 50s.

Clouds will increase a bit this weekend as weak low pressure moves by to our north late Sunday. High temperatures will continue to warm, reaching the mid 50s both Saturday and Sunday. There is also a slight chance of a shower Sunday night into Monday.

High pressure will continue to push into the area today, moving overhead today and tomorrow. This will cause skies to clear today and remain mostly sunny for the next few days.

Highs today will be in the mid 40s.

Tomorrow will be very similar to today, with more sunshine. Highs will again be in the mid 40s.

The high will move off the coast tomorrow night and Friday, allowing temperatures to warm to near 50 on Friday and into the 50s Saturday.

Light Rain/Snow Through This Afternoon

Low pressure currently over North Carolina will continue to move to the northeast, passing by to our south.

Light rain will continue to fall across central and eastern Maryland, while rain mixing with snow at times will fall across northern Maryland. All snow can be expected across far western Maryland.

The precipitation will taper off from west to east this afternoon, ending by this evening as high pressure pushes in from the west.

Mostly Sunny Today; Rain/Snow Tonight into Tomorrow Morning

High pressure will slide off the coast today, but not before providing a mostly sunny day today. Highs will push into the upper 40s.

Low pressure currently developing over eastern Texas will move northeast today and will pass by to our south late tonight and tomorrow morning. The storm will be fairly weak and fast moving, which will limit the amount of precipitation that will fall.

Currently it appears that temperatures will be cold enough for rain to change to snow across the northern and western part of the state. In these areas, a slushy inch or two of snowfall is possible.
