High pressure has moved into the region and as a result, expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low to mid 80s.

The high will slide off of the coast tonight into tomorrow. This will allow warmer, more humid air to flow back into the area. Expect highs to be in the upper 80s to around 90 under mostly sunny skies.

A disturbance will move into the area Saturday night and Sunday, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong to severe on Sunday with damaging winds being the most likely threat. The storms will also be capable of producing heavy rainfall, leading to localized flash flooding. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s.

A cold front continues to work it’s way through the state this morning. As it does, scattered showers will be possible, mainly this morning before the front finally moves south this afternoon. Highs today will top out in the low to mid 80s.

High pressure will build into the area tomorrow, leading to a nice day with highs in the low 80s, lower humidity and mostly sunny skies.

The high will shift off of the coast tomorrow night into Saturday. As a result warmer and more humid air will return. Highs on Saturday will be around 90 with a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.

A cold front is slowly moving towards the region today. As it moves closer, showers and thunderstorms will become likely late this afternoon and into tonight. Highs today will be around 90.

The front will continue its progression eastward tomorrow, keeping shower and thunderstorm chances in the forecast through the evening hours. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

The front will push through late tomorrow evening, ushering in high pressure and and drier air for the end of the week.

Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80s.

With high pressure parked off of the coast, expect another day of warm and humid conditions. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible this afternoon, especially over the mountains. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

A cold front will begin its approach on Wednesday. It will continue to be warm, with highs around 90 under partly sunny skies.

The front will move close enough to the area to set off scattered thunderstorms late Wednesday into Wednesday night. The storm activity will continue Thursday as the front moves into the area. Highs will be in the low 80s.

The front will push through during the day Thursday, ushering in cooler and drier air for the end of the week.

High pressure just off of the east coast will cause temperatures and humidity to rise for the first half of the week.

Today will be partly sunny with isolated showers and thunderstorms. It will be more humid, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

Tomorrow will be warmer and more humid than today with a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90.

Wednesday will be similar to Tuesday with highs around 90 with a slightly better chance of afternoon and evening storms.

With a Bermuda high continuing to pump warm and humid air into the region and a cold front approaching from the west, the stage is set for another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the storms may turn severe with damaging winds and heavy rain. Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90.

The cold front crosses tonight into tomorrow morning bringing an end to the rainfall. Cooler and drier air will filter in tomorrow, leading to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s with low humidity.

High pressure will remain overhead Thursday, leading to another pleasant day. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s.

Cold front approaches today; Showers and storms likely again

A cold front will move into the area today, touching off another round of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight. It will remain hot and humid with highs in the low 90s. This airmass will continue to support strong storms with gusty winds, large hail and very heavy rainfall. Localized flash flooding is possible in any storm.

The front will push through tomorrow morning, ending the rainfall and ushering in cooler and drier air for the holiday weekend. Expect mostly sunny skies by tomorrow afternoon, with highs in the low 80s.

The front will also steer Hurricane Arthur well east of the state. By Friday afternoon, the storm should be well off the Ocean City coast, accelerating away from the area.

With high pressure off of the coast, southerly flow will continue to pump heat and humidity into the area. A Heat Advisory has been issued for central Maryland where highs in the mid 90s will combine with dewpoints in the low 70s to push the heat index into the low 100s.

Additionally, the heat and humidity will fuel development of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Some of these storms will become severe with damaging winds and large hail as the main threat. Any storm will also be capable of producing very heavy rainfall, leading to localized flash flooding.

Today will be hot and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible late this afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the low 90s.

As the tropical system off of the southeast coast strengthens and a cold front approaches from the west, moisture will increase tomorrow and as a result, thunderstorms are likely tomorrow afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could become severe with damaging winds and large hail. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible. It will continue to be hot, with highs in the low to mid 90s.

Thunderstorms will remain likely tomorrow night through Thursday as the front remains to our west and the tropical system remains to our south. Another round of severe weather is possible Thursday afternoon as well. Highs will be in the upper 80s to around 90.

Southerly flow will sharpen today bringing heat and humidity back into the region today. The heat will continue to build through midweek.

Expect a mix of clouds and sun today with an isolated shower or thunderstorm possible. Highs will be around 90.

Tomorrow will be a few degrees warmer, with isolated thunderstorms possible in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 90s.

A cold front will approach on Wednesday, increasing storm chances. Additionally, tropical moisture will be pulled into the area ahead of a developing system off the southeast coast. This will make isolated to scattered storms likely with locally heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the mid 90s with heat indices approaching 105.

The front will remain in the area Thursday and thunderstorm chances will continue. Localized flooding will be possible again Thursday afternoon as storms produce locally heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
