Areas of light snow or flurries are moving through the state this morning with little to no accumulation. Expect another round of light rain or snow showers this afternoon as a cold front moves through the area. While the next round will be a little more widespread, temperatures will be warmer so little to no accumulation is expected. Highs today will be around 40.

High pressure builds in tomorrow. Expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 30s with breezy northwest winds.

Thursday will start a warming trend that will last into the weekend. Expect highs to reach the upper 40s under mostly sunny skies.

Expect more clouds than sun today with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

Tonight, a clipper system will approach from the west, bringing a swath of light snow through the area into tomorrow morning.

The precip will be light and totals of an inch or less are expected with the highest amounts near the Mason-Dixon line.

The snow should come to an end during the afternoon hours as westerly winds increase. Highs will be in the upper 30s.

High pressure builds in on Wednesday resulting in partly sunny skies and highs around 40.

High pressure will provide a mostly sunny day today with highs in the mid to upper 30s.

The high will move off the coast later today as an area of low pressure approaches from the southwest. The low will spread precipitation into the area tomorrow morning likely in the form of snow.

The snow will change to sleet during the afternoon and then eventually to rain by the evening along and east of I-95. This area may see up to an inch of snow before changing over.

A warm front currently moving through the state has spread ample moisture up the coast resulting in foggy, misty conditions. Highs today will be in the mid 60s.

A cold front is approaching from the west and will move into the area tonight. Expect showers to break out before daybreak tomorrow morning.

Rain chances will increase through the day tomorrow and last thorough tomorrow night. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s tomorrow.

Saturday will be a transition day, as the cold front settles to our south allowing partial clearing. It will be colder with highs in the low 40s.

Cold high pressure will continue to settle into the region late Saturday and Saturday night. This will set the stage for Sunday as an area of low pressure approaches from the southwest.

Light showers have broken out ahead of a cold front that is approaching from the west. The front will continue moving eastward and will cross the state by late this evening. Highs today will be around 60 degrees.

Skies will begin to clear overnight as colder air begins to filter into the area. Tomorrow will feature temperatures falling with winds increasing through the day. Temperatures will dip into the low 40s by evening.

Sunday will be cold and windy with a passing flurry possible. Highs will only reach the mid 30s with strong northwest winds gusting over 30 mph.

High pressure will continue to provide cool temperatures and mostly sunny skies through the weekend.

Today will be mostly sunny, breezy and cool with highs around 50 degrees.

Winds will diminish tomorrow and temperatures will warm a bit, with highs in the mid 50s.

A weak cold front will move through on Sunday, increasing winds and bringing an end to the warming trend. Highs on Sunday and Monday will be in the mid 50s, followed by highs around 50 on Tuesday.

Coastal low pressure remains off the Delmarva coast this morning, continuing to push rainfall into our area. 2-3″ of rain has already fallen across the area, and another 1-2″ is possible today into tonight. Highs today will be in the low 60s.

Periods of rain will continue tonight and into tomorrow morning before tapering to drizzle as the low continues to weaken and slowly move away. Even as the low moves away, the region will remain in northeasterly flow, keeping the clouds and areas of drizzle around through Sunday. Highs both days will be in the low to mid 60s.

Low pressure remains off the Carolina coast and it continues to push rainfall into our area. Nearly an inch of rain has fallen so far with another inch possible through tomorrow. Highs will remain in the upper 50s today.

Periods of rain will continue tomorrow into tomorrow night before finally tapering to drizzle. Highs will be in the low 60s.

Unfortunately, the low will stick around into the weekend, leading to drizzle on both Saturday and part of Sunday. The drizzle should end during the day on Sunday as the low moves away and weakens and high pressure builds in. Highs will be in the mid 60s each day.

What was once Tropical Storm Karen is moving slowly up the eastern seaboard. The low is currently centered off the Georgia coast, drifting northward. A swath of rain has pushed into the Delmarva and will continue to spread north and westward today. Expect rain to move into southern Maryland over the next few hours and into central Maryland by the afternoon. Highs today will be in the low 60s.

The rain will overspread the entire state tonight and become steady. The rain will continue tomorrow and highs will remain in the low 60s.

Expect the rain to begin to lighten as we move into tomorrow night and Friday. Although the rain will decrease in intensity, showers are expected to continue through Friday and into Friday night. Rainfall totals of 1-4″ are likely, with the highest amounts along the coast and lowest amounts in the mountains.
