Rain likely tomorrow, then all eyes on the weekend

Current Weather Map
Today will feature clearing skies and temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a low pressure system that will bring periods of rain to the area tomorrow. Expect around a quarter of an inch of rain total before it ends tomorrow evening.

High pressure builds in for Friday into Saturday bringing mostly sunny skies and highs around 50. The high will gradually move off the coast ahead of the next possible storm system that could affect the area on Sunday.

Sunny today, slight chance of rain/snow tomorrow

Current Weather Map
High pressure remains in control today, providing sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 40s. The high will move off the coast tonight as an area of low pressure moves in from the west. This system will bring a chance of light precipitation tomorrow. Light rain or snow showers are possible in the morning, but as we warm up to near 50, only rain showers are expected in the afternoon.

Light rain/snow tonight and tomorrow

Current weather map
A cold front will approach the state tonight, while a low pressure system currently over the south interacts with the front and redevelops off the south east coast. The low will track northeast, off the coast but will be close enough to bring light rain and snow to the area tonight and tomorrow. Expect light rain to develop across the state tonight, transitioning to snow from west to east as the night progresses. The rain/snow will continue through the day tomorrow, before ending tomorrow evening. An inch or two of snow is possible in the mountains, elsewhere, little to no accumulation is expected.

Rain tonight, falling temps tomorrow

A low pressure system currently over Arkansas and Tennessee will continue its trek to the northeast. In doing so, it will bring a warm front through the area tonight, causing temperatures to rise into the 50s. The warmth will be short lived, as the system will then drag a cold front through tomorrow morning. Rain associated with the front is expected tonight and tomorrow morning. Total rainfall of up to a half inch is expected statewide.

Sunny today, rain tomorrow

Today will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 40s. Clouds increase tonight ahead of the next weather system. A warm front will cross the area tomorrow morning, allowing light rain to develop late morning and into the afternoon. The rain will become more widespread and heavier tomorrow evening as a low pressure develops along a cold front that will cross the area late tomorrow night. Skies will begin to clear by Friday afternoon, but not before .50 to .75″ of rain has fallen.

The dreaded “Wintry Mix”

Today will see increasing clouds as another cold front moves through the region tonight. The front will have a little moisture with it, and will produce scattered flurries overnight as it crosses the state.

The main weather story is the storm system that will begin to affect the area tomorrow night.
