Warmer Weather on the Way

High pressure will continue to build into the region today and slide off the coast this weekend. This will lead to mostly sunny skies and warmer temperatures.

Expect sunny skies today with highs in the mid to upper 50s.

Sunshine continues tomorrow as highs continue to climb, topping out in the low to mid 60s.

More sunshine and even warmer temperatures are expected Sunday, as highs climb to near 70.

Dry into the Weekend; Sandy Forms in the Caribbean

High pressure off the Carolina coast remains in control of our weather. It will provide us with warm and dry conditions today and tomorrow before being pushed northward to off the New England coast. This will develop onshore flow over our area, bringing more clouds and slightly cooler air.

Highs today and tomorrow will be in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees under partly sunny skies.

Thursday through Saturday will feature more clouds. The clouds will hold temperatures down a bit, keeping highs in the low to mid 70s.

Rain Moves Out; Drier Air Moves In

Showers associated with a cold front will continue to move through the area this morning as the cold front moves off the coast. Rainfall should come to an end later this morning as the front clears the state. A few breaks in the cloud cover are expected by this evening and highs today will push into the low 70s.

Cooler and drier air will filter into the region tonight and through this weekend. Highs tomorrow and Sunday will be in the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies.

A mostly dry stretch appears to be on tap next week. High pressure will dominate the weather for the eastern portion of the country, blocking weather systems from the region.

Mostly Sunny Today; Cold Frontal Passage Tomorrow

The weather today will remain under control of high pressure. Expect a pleasant day after a chilly start under mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 60s.

A strong area of low pressure will move into the Great Lakes region tomorrow and swing a cold front through the state tomorrow night. Expect a line of showers and thunderstorms to develop and move through tomorrow night. Strong, gusty winds will be possible within the showers and thunderstorms. Highs ahead of the front tomorrow will be in the low to mid 70s.

Behind the front, high pressure builds in Friday. Clouds will decrease through the day and high temperatures will be around 70 degrees.

Sunny Today and Tomorrow

High pressure builds in today, providing sunshine and mild temperatures today and tomorrow. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s both days.

A weak cold front will push through on Thursday, increasing winds and bringing light showers to the area.

The front will clear Thursday night into Friday morning and set up a stretch of seasonal weather.

Highs Friday through Sunday will be in the mid to upper 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Showers and Isolated Storms Today

A cold front will march through the state today, bringing scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the storms could produce strong gusty winds. Highs will be in the low 70s.

Skies clear tonight as high pressure moves in behind the front. Expect a mostly sunny day tomorrow with highs in the mid 60s.

The nice weather will continue Wednesday and Thursday. Both days will feature plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Frontal Passage Sets Up Nice Weekend

A dry cold front will move through today bringing nothing but scattered clouds this afternoon as it does so. Highs today will be in the mid 60s.

Cool Canadian high pressure pushes in tonight, clearing skies and allowing temperatures to drop into the upper 20s across northern and western Maryland to the mid to upper 30s closer to the Bay.

A Freeze Watch is in effect for the northern counties.

Expect plentiful sunshine tomorrow as the high moves overhead. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.

More Showers Today

Another area of low pressure will bring showers to the area this afternoon and into tonight as it passes by to our southeast.

Showers will develop after noon today and persist well into tonight. Highs will struggle into the low to mid 50s.

Expect partial clearing tomorrow, with an isolated shower possible during the afternoon. Otherwise it will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 50s to near 60.

Another cold front will push through on Wednesday, bringing a slight chance of a shower during the late afternoon. Highs Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunny Today; Unsettled Weekend

High pressure will build into the area today and provide for a sunny day with high temperatures in the low 80s.

The high will be replaced tomorrow as an area of low pressure and a cold front move towards the area. Ahead of the front, showers will be possible late tomorrow afternoon and into Sunday morning.

Showers will likely re-develop Sunday afternoon as a piece of energy swings through the area. It will also be much colder, with highs in the low to mid 50s.

High pressure will build back in late Sunday, bringing an end to the showers by Sunday night. Lows Sunday night will drop into the low to mid 40s.

A weak area of low pressure riding along a stationary front is providing light shower activity this morning. Showers will be likely, tapering off as we move into the afternoon. As high pressure builds in, expect the clouds to clear and allow for some sunshine this afternoon. It will be warm, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

High pressure between the current system and the next system will provide for a beautiful Friday. Highs will be in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies with low dew points.

Another cold front will approach on Saturday and move through late Saturday with another round of showers during the afternoon and evening. Highs Saturday will be in the mid 70s.
