A warm front will slowly push north through the area today. As it does, temperatures will rise into the low low to mid 50s by this afternoon.

A cold front will approach tonight and tomorrow. Ahead of the front, temperatures will climb into the 60s with strong southerly flow. Showers will also develop tomorrow morning and will increase in coverage and intensity as the front moves closer tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Periods of heavy rain and even thunderstorms are possible into tomorrow night. Rain totals of over an inch are expected and strong gusty winds are possible within the showers and storms.

The front will clear the area late tomorrow night, followed by gusty northwest winds and colder temperatures on Thursday. Highs Thursday will top out in the mid 40s.

Areas of sleet and freezing rain will continue to change to plain rain as we move through this morning. Temperatures across Central Maryland are around freezing at this time and will continue to rise. North and west of the cities, temperatures are a bit colder and will take a little longer to warm up.

All areas east of the mountains should be safely above freezing by noon.

Shower chances will continue this afternoon and into tonight.

Tomorrow we will be between storm systems as a warm front slowly pushes north of the state. Temperatures will warm into the low 50s under partly sunny skies.

A strong cold front will approach on Wednesday. Out ahead of it, temperatures will approach 60 degrees in most areas. The front will bring rain and even thunderstorms to the area Wednesday into Wednesday night. Some of the storms could be strong to severe, with damaging winds the main threat.

Strong Cold Front Brings Rain and Wind

An intense area of low pressure continues to strengthen over the midwest while it drags a cold front across the country. The front will approach the area this afternoon spreading rain into the area by sunset.

The rain will be heavy at times, accompanied with strong gusty winds. A thunderstorm is possible during the overnight as well.

Winter begins at 6:12 tomorrow morning and the front will be pushing through around that time. Expect wind gusts to near 40mph tomorrow, as temperatures fall from the low 40s into the 30s during the day.

Strong Cold Front to Bring Storms Tonight

A strong area of low pressure continues to spin over the upper midwest and will bring a cold front through the state tonight. Ahead of the front, expect increasing cloudiness and breezy conditions today with highs around 70 degrees.

The front will approach this evening, spawning showers and embedded thunderstorms after dark. There is a slight risk that some of the storms turn severe, with damaging winds being the primary threat.

The front will clear the area tomorrow morning, bringing an end to the rain threat as drier air works in from the northwest. Decreasing clouds and highs in the low to mid 70s are expected.

Mostly Sunny Today; Cold Frontal Passage Tomorrow

The weather today will remain under control of high pressure. Expect a pleasant day after a chilly start under mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 60s.

A strong area of low pressure will move into the Great Lakes region tomorrow and swing a cold front through the state tomorrow night. Expect a line of showers and thunderstorms to develop and move through tomorrow night. Strong, gusty winds will be possible within the showers and thunderstorms. Highs ahead of the front tomorrow will be in the low to mid 70s.

Behind the front, high pressure builds in Friday. Clouds will decrease through the day and high temperatures will be around 70 degrees.

Showers and Isolated Storms Today

A cold front will march through the state today, bringing scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of the storms could produce strong gusty winds. Highs will be in the low 70s.

Skies clear tonight as high pressure moves in behind the front. Expect a mostly sunny day tomorrow with highs in the mid 60s.

The nice weather will continue Wednesday and Thursday. Both days will feature plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s.

Showers and Thunderstorms Today

A rainy Tuesday is on tap, with rounds of showers and thunderstorms into tonight.

An area of low pressure is centered over Kentucky and moving northward. This will keep pushing moisture into the area, resulting in wide spread shower and thunderstorm activity. Highs today will be in the mid 70s.

The low pushes northward tomorrow and any clouds and leftover showers will move out as well. In it’s wake, expect a partly sunny and warm day with highs in the mid 80s.

Showers Redevelop This Evening

An area of low pressure located along the Gulf Coast will move northward today, passing by to our west tonight and tomorrow. Ahead of the low, tropical moisture will flow northward into the region. This will set the stage for more showers late this afternoon through tomorrow.

Highs today will be in the low to mid 70s.

Expect widespread showers and even thunderstorms tomorrow and tomorrow night. The showers and storms will be capable of heavy rainfall in a short period of time.

Rainfall totals will approach an inch, with higher amounts possible from thunderstorms. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 70s.

Cold Front Pushes South Today

A cold front currently draped across Pennsylvania will slowly push southward today. As the front makes slow progress crossing through the state, expect another round of showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. Highs today will be around 80 degrees.

Showers are expected to continue overnight and into tomorrow. The cold front will push south of the state tomorrow afternoon and as it does so, thunderstorms will again be possible. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Unsettled Weather Through the Weekend

A cold front will continue to move towards the area today, spawning scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening.

Highs today will be in the low 80s.

The cold front pushes through tonight and will likely stall out just south of the area. A weak area of low pressure will develop along the front and this will provide a focus for more showers tonight and tomorrow.

Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 70s.
